I Haven't Been Catching Fish But I'm Staying Comfortable With Some Fresh Goods From Huk And Bajio Sunglasses
Over the past few weeks, I have been trying to get out on the water a bit more to see if I can hone in my fly fishing skills and to just be outside more so I don't lose my mind. While I've been out there I've been putting some new stuff from Huk to the test along with some the Stiltsville Readers Sunglasses from Bajio. It's late November and it's still warmer than normal for Utah, but cool enough in the canyons for the Huk KC Print Leeward Lightweight Fleece Hoodie, and Crewman KC Print Insulated Jacket in the mornings and then just the lightweight hoodie in the afternoons. I just got a pair of their Rogue Wave Boots as well that I will be wearing this winter, most likely as a pre and post snowboarding boot, since they are easy on and off and waterproof.

I wear an XXL in most tops and the XXL in the lightweight hoodie and the jacket are both a perfect fit. I am 6'3" and weigh around 265 lbs. these days. The hoodie has a nice bit of stretch and is super comfortable directly against the skin. If provides a nice bit of warmth on its own without being too hot and also protects against the sun in case you are pigment challenged like myself. The jacket worn over the lightweight hoody provides the perfect amount of warmth when the temps are down closer to freezing. The jacket is insulated with 80 grams of synthetic insulation but also has a super soft sherpa fleece interior providing extra warmth and comfort. There are two hand pockets that are sherpa lined as well as a large interior pocket to stash more stuff if needed. The Crewman jacket also has a super durable Cordura outer shell that feels like it's going to handle some abuse.

I've only worn the boots to the grocery store so far but they are quite comfortable and easy to slip on and off. While wearing them I was surprised and how secure they were and the boots didn't have any slop to them. The heel pocket is nice and secure and the boots feel like you've laced them up without having laces. It's like magic. Now just start doing your snow dances so we can go snowboarding!

Let's talk about these readers / sunglasess from Bajio for a bit. I tried fighting the fact that in my 40's my vision was not failing me. I guess it's called Presbyopia. Happens to the best of us. I started by getting some little clip on readers that clipped to the top of my hat and then tried some stick on magnifiers that stick onto the inside of my sunglasses at the bottom. They worked ok, but not awesome. When I got this pair of sunglasses from Bajio with the readers built into the lens it was an absolute game changer! No longer did I have to take multiple pairs of glasses fishing or try and rig up some stick on magnifier patches to my sunglasses! The reader section is down at the bottom of the lens and everything else gives you your normal vision. It's pretty awesome to not have to worry about not being able to see when tying on smaller flies anymore. What a thing. The Stiltsville's are an XL size fit and they fit my slightly wider than average width head perfectly. This was my first experience with Bajio sunglasses and I have been super impressed with them. Frames and lenses are super high quality. They block out 90% of harsh yellow light, 95% of bad blue light, and 100% UV light.
