Review: Gerber Gear Fastball Knife

The Gerber Gear Fastball Knife Is Becoming A Fast Favorite EDC For Me

I have been using the Gerber Gear Fastball Knife for the past few months almost daily and it's quickly becoming my favorite EDC item that I own. It's light but still feels burly, has a nice smooth easy flip out blade, and it looks bad ass. Compared to my other Gerber Gear knife, the Assert, it has a better fit in my hand due to having a longer handle. I love having the flipper opening as well rather than having to manually push the blade open with my thumb. It's super smooth and very intuitive. That smooth deployment is due to Gerber's B.O.S.S. technology. (view details in pics)

Silver folding knife with a stonewashed blade against a white background. The handle features a small logo near the blade.

You have a lanyard loop you can run some paracord through. One thing I like better about my Assert is the deep pocket carry clip. I prefer my knife to sit all the way down into my pocket without any of the knife sticking above my pocket.

This Gerber Gear Fastball knife is also American made and it's backed by Gerber's Guarantee that you can read more about here.

The Fastball is slightly longer overall than the Assert. The handle is a bit longer as well as the blade. The Fastball fits in my hand better. My hands aren't massive but they are bigger than average.
