Before I got this pack, whenever I heard EXPED, I would always think about their sleeping pads. But after using this pack most of the summer, I now consider EXPED one of the best packs in the market. It's extremely comfortable and super versatile. I have been using it mostly for day hikes, but the EXPED Skyline 30, with it's 30L of volume is also just enough for doing an overnight backpacking trip too. I have also taken it on a couple longer mtb rides loaded up with a 3L hydration bladder, food for the day, tools, a jacket, lights sunscreen, and a few other miscellaneous items. When fully loaded the pack rides really well and doesn't move around a ton even when on my mountain bike. The load

is very evenly distributed. The pack comes in two different adjustable torso lengths, a Short/Medium and a Medium/Long, as well as 3 colors, black, gold and cypress. I have the Medium/Long in the black colorway. For size reference, I am 6'3" and weigh about 260 lbs and the the torso adjusted pretty close to the max length, it fits me very well. There is plenty of adjustment length in the waist, chest and shoulder straps as well. There are plenty of attachment points for different items like hiking poles and stuff like that. It fits my 3L hydration bladder perfectly. The ergonomically shaped Air Flow back system works super well and allows a good amount of air flow between your back and the pack. I am a heavy sweater and my back is going to sweat no matter what but it never felt like the pack was sticking to me and creating a swamp like environment. Each compartment, pocket and attachment points are very well thought out and placed. Materials are tough and durable and this pack seems like it's going to last a very long time, most likely longer than I have left on this planet. One of my favorite features of this pack is the forward angled water bottle holder. It makes it super easy to grab your water without removing your pack. So if you are one that likes to bring a bottle vs. a hydration bladder or maybe you use your hydration bladder water and bring a bottle along as well with some sort of hydration/electrolyte drink or other beverages this forward angled pocket makes it much better than other packs I've used in the past where the pocket is straight up and down. Most of the time I have had to remove my pack completely to get the bottle out and put it back in.
