Specialized Stumpjumper 15 Comp Alloy

Pinkbike has just reviewed the Specialized Stumpjumper 15 Comp Alloy. This is the one a lot of you have been waiting for. Pinkbike keyboard warriors were up in arms due to the carbon frame not allowing for any type of cable routing for non battery operated drivetrains. For those who stayed calm Specialized released the alloy version of the Stumpy 15 which made for the ability to run good ol' cable actuated shifting. While this alloy version may be heavier than the carbon Stumpjumper, it still gets the same geo and genie shock that comes on the fancier plastic framed bike. Personally, I like the feel and ride characteristics of an alloy frame. Sure it's a bit heavier and you have to pedal a couple more pounds uphill, but once pointed down, and aluminum frame feels a bit more planted and has an overall smash everything kind of attitude. This bike has a lot of bang for buck kind of value too! Head over to Specialized to buy one for yourself.
