The Off The Grid Lancer Standard Fit Pant Is Pretty Much Good For Anything.
Sometimes you need a pair of pants that you can do anything in. I have found the Off The Grid Lancer Standard Fit Pant to be just that. You can wear these to work, whether you do construction, landscaping, or work in a professional office setting and then go straight to riding laps with your friends after work on the mountain bikes and then hit a restaurant or bar afterwards all in the same day all in the same pair of pants. I went with the standard fit due to having large calves. They do offer a tapered fit but tapered stuff tend to look like tights on my legs and end up constricting movement a bit. These ended up being a perfect fit for all situations. On the bike they offer enough stretch and looseness to be comfortable and be able to easily move around on the bike and pedal for hours. They have a nice skate style chino look to them with some technical features built in that make them more usable than a standard chino. There are some cargo pockets on the side that can hold extras when you might just want to bring along some snacks, gels, etc. One of my favorite pockets is a little pocket above the standard rear pockets and just below the waist but shifted off toward the hips. I can keep my wallet or phone their and sit at my desk or on my bike seat without feeling them at all. I also like the extra patch of fabric at the corners of the front hand pockets for extra durability if you carry a knife at all. The Lancer pant has a nice 4 way stretch for maximum mobility and they breathe really well too so you don't overheat and get the swamp man effect going on. I would say the fit is on the slimmer side but still plenty of room if you were to wear some trail knee pads under them. They are super lightweight but also durable. A lot of lightweight pants feel like they would just tear at the thought of a light crash. The Lancer pant is built tough without being thick and bulky and that's pretty cool. I have started wearing the Off The Grid Lancer Pant more than any of my other pants and it's because they are just so comfortable and versatile.
