The Crankbrothers TS2 Tube Stash + Is The Bare Necessities Piece To Their S.O.S Range Of Tools/Tube/Bottle/Pump Carrier Pods.


The Crankbrothers TS2 Tube Stash + is great for carrying a tube, tire lever, and tire plug kit. This one along with the other tool carrying pods in the S.O.S range bolt onto any water bottle boss holes on your bike. Some of them come with a water bottle cage and can be mounted where you would normally mount your water bottle cage. Since this one does not have a bottle holder as part of it I would recommend you have a second set of bosses on your bike, particularly a set of bosses meant for this type of tool pod where a bottle won't fit anyway and therefore you are not taking up precious real estate on your bike where you could otherwise carry water.

Mounting is super easy. The tube holder bolts on with provided bolts from crankbrothers with four mounting holes offering two positions to choose from. Thanks to crankbrothers for providing some locite on the bolts. I have lost more than one water bottle cage in my lifetime due to not having loctite on my boss bolts.

Step 2 is just putting the tire lever into place. It snaps in nice and snug.

Step 3 is just folding up a tube and placing it in and tightening up the strap.

This is a great option if you have some boss bolts underneath the top tube like my Commencal T.E.M.P.O.

The TS2 Tube Stash + keeps your tube, lever and plug kit stored away tight and neat and makes absolutely zero noise on the trail while riding and provides peace of mind knowing you have the items needed in case of a flat out ripping your favorite singletrack or shuttling you favorite vehicle assisted rides. With the TS2 you will still need somewhere to put your pump or CO2 cartridge but with the tube, lever and plug kit you free up space in a pack or internal frame storage if you have it.

Another option for under the top tube bosses is the TS18 Tube Stash Tool Kit. If you have a bike with just a single set of bosses or two in a spot that can carry a water bottle I would probably go for one of the other S.O.S. on bike tool pods that also have a water bottle cage as part of the solution like the BC18 Bottle Cage Tool Kit.
