No More Foot Pain With Remind Cush Classic Insoles

Updated: Feb 10

I have been snowboarding for over 34 years now (I know I'm old), and foot pain has always just been part of it. In the early days of snowboarding it was definitely worse than recent years. Boots were just Sorels with zero support and binding and board technology was pretty basic. No fancy materials dampening out harshness and chatter were the norm. Although boots, boards and bindings have gotten a lot better, one thing still remains the same. Footbeds. Footbeds that come with even the nicest pair of snowboard boots are still super basic and offer pretty much no cushion or support at all. Which means my feet still end up hurting throughout a day of riding. Especially if it's not a bottomless powder day.

I am going to be running the Remind Cush Classic insoles in my Ride Trident boots this season to try and help end foot pain and fatigue for good. As a mid 40 yr old dad of 4, it's not like I am riding all day top to bottom Tram laps at Snowbird anymore, but I still don't have time for my feet to hurt.

Remind is a small business with a huge passion for what they do and is owned and operated by snowboarders and skateboarders. The idea of Remind came about back in 2008 from a dude named John Makens due to there being a large gap in the skate and snow industry providing a less than ideal footbed in skate shoes and snowboard boots along with all of the pain that comes with the hobbies we love. Remind Insoles are developed from 35 plus years of biomechanics and biomedicine practice and they are approved and backed by a pretty heavy list of athletes who are some of the best to ever do it with names like Travis Rice, Bryan Iguchi and Jamie Lynn.

The Cush Classic pair I am running are for a mid to high arch and are 4mm thick. Note: these are going to be a bit thicker than stock footbeds, so keep that in mind when purchasing. If your boots are already on the tight side of fitment, you may need to think about running a half size up potentially. After swapping out my old footbeds for the Remind Insoles I threw on my boots to see how they felt. Immediately I could feel they were a lot more comfortable. A lot more cushion and tons more support! Already my knees and hips felt more aligned and just standing felt more natural and comfortable. I have had these out with a full day of riding in mixed conditions and typically after a few runs my feet are already burning and are cramping up and tired. With the Remind Insoles I noticed my feet still felt great run after run. My knees and hips felt great thoughout the entire day as well and I noticed I just wasn't as tired overall. The flat landings felt less flat and chatter on end of day groomers felt less chattery. I would recommend these to my mom! You can get some here.
