Fueling Up With Nick's Sticks Snack Sticks

Splitboarding uphill.
Heading up the skin track.

If you do anything outdoors you'll know that you typically spend a lot of energy and calories while participating in most of those activities and you'll probably end up getting hungry at some point. I am always looking for a good snack to take along way, whether it's smashed into my hip pack on a mountain bike ride or in my backpack while splitboarding, so I was pretty stoked when I reached out to Nick's Sticks and asked for some samples to try out. They sent me out a good variety of what they have in their mix of flavors.

I took a couple Nick's Sticks snack sticks out with me on a couple different spltboarding days. Depending on how many miles and how much very I am planning on will determine how much food I need to bring, but I usually try to have a good mix of snacks with protein, carbs, electrolytes and usually some candy like gummies or something for some quick sugar. I'm a big fan of beef sticks and they are pretty lightweight and each stick has about 10 grams of protein. They can be easily slid into my pack amongst whatever else is in there and I don't have to worry about them getting smashed or making a mess.

Nick's Sticks can go pretty much anywhere.

One of the big differences in Nick's Sticks from other meat stick brands is their dedication to providing a clean and healthy product. As you can see from the picture below taken from their website they can be a great snack for a variety of people if you have any type of allergies or are trying to stick to some kind of clean eating plan. I'm not too picky when it comes to certain things, but at 45 years old my metabolism has slowed down a bit and I am trying to make more healthier choices than when I was in my 20's.

My favorite part about Nick's Sticks is they taste amazing! Compared to other snack sticks they taste fresh and delicious and they don't shoot grease bullets down my throat while biting into them. Winning! With Nick's Sticks in my body I was able to have enough energy after the slog up the mountain to rip some pow turns on the way back down. If you want to order some for yourself make sure to hit up Nick's Sticks through this link as it helps me keep this site going.
